Barclaycard life of balance transfer juggling

Hi all,

Got 2 Barclaycards, 1 I use mainly for balance transfers, and the other for general spending. The balance transfer one is I think all at 6.9% life of balance, which I think is a great deal, it certainly works for me.

I'd like to transfer the spending barclaycard to the balance transfer one, to reduce the interest rate. There is just about room on it to do this (if I have a couple hundred left over on the spending one, its not the end of the world).

I'm thinking of transferring from the spending barclaycard to a different card, leaving it till it transfers, then transferring it back to the balance transfer barclaycard, hopefully at life of balance 6.9%. It can then cook slowly for a few years while I work on reducing it.

I'm well aware of the transfer charges etc, and am fine with that.

So, question is, will they swallow it? Will they know what I'm up to and tell me to get stuffed? Has anyone else done something similar, either successfully or otherwise?

Any advice, gratefully recieved.

Cheers,

Woody.
