need car claim advice please
hi guys
i was hit by another car which resulted in my bumper being damaged. i took it to a garage whilst i was waiting for insurance to get back to me ( other driver took 10 days to report it to his insurance) and they said that it needed a whole new bumper and what with labour costs it would be around £300. he also said that as my car is an r reg fiesta, so about 14 years old and not worth much more then the repairs, it was likely that it would be written off.
i am now waiting for dagenham motors to pick my car up at some point this week, but im just wondering what you think the chances are it will be written off? to be honest this is my better option as im wanting a newer car anyway and its not really worth selling it as a few faults and old etc.
also, if it is written off, it wont accept my no claims will it? the driver has admitted full liability.
thanks all.
