Selling greetings cards at fairs/online - help?

Hi,
I need some advice.
I have a few suppliers who sell some lovely greetings cards and I would love to sell them on. I wonder if anyone knows of any websites or offline places that would be a good place to sell greetings cards?
I've already considered ebay but they don't seem to sell very well on there.
Another idea I had was to sell them at craft fairs and school fairs such as easter and summer and xmas fairs that schools have, I always see cards being sold at those places. The thing is, how do you get to be a seller at one of those fairs, does anyone here sell at fairs and know about it? Or does anyone work at a school? Do I need to just whip out the phone book and ring every school and ask them to put me on some list or something?
Thanks for your help

Most school fetes are oranised by the PTA and it will be volunteers selling and making the cards with the proceeds going to the school.0

Yes, like FF says it would be up to the PTA to allow you to sell there, and unless you offer them a percentage of the profits for the school they would be pretty unlikely to do this in my experience as both a PTA member & school employee.
Craft fairs and markets may be a better option, if you go to one yourself you could chat to a friendly stallholder there for more info.0 -
Thanks, I will look into craft fairs then.
Don't suppose there is anywhere online that would be good to sell cards on?

The problem with craft items like cards is that the postage costs for individual items almost completely destroy your profit margin.
For instance, if someone is willing to pay £1.50 for a card then by the time you've packed it and possibly had to pay postage as a large letter if it has any 'bulges' on it you have virtually no profit left.
My young cousins spend hours making cards and selling them at boot sales where other relatives or friends have pitches and make next to nothing, we once worked out they were working for an average of 30p an hour! People won't pay a lot of money even if the card is time intensive, and that's the first problem.
My only thought if you could make and sell in bulk is on a party plan basis.
