Paypal transaction reviews

Just got this yesterday for the first time, paypal are to review my withdrawal request.

Anyone know what this is all about?

It seems to of started when Paypal implemented this faster/instant withdrawal to your bank thing.

From what I can see, they tend to review some of the requests for 20 odd hours, then release the funds.

Must admit I don't know if the ones they pick are just random or not.

I get this review approx 7 out of 10 times I try & transfer money to my bank account.

Never had any problems with it not clearing, it just seems its paypals way of holding onto to my money that bit longer.

I have this, mine seems to be every other transfer is held for 24 hours, I withdrew money yesterday and it went in earlier today.

You don't expect Paypal to release your money just because you've asked for it?
They've got employees to pay, systems to update, lawsuits to settle, pets to feed, they can't just give you your money on a whim, when you feel like paying a bill....
