I keep getting phones calls on my mobile from the above company asking for somebody else. I have told them that I took this number over a couple of months ago and don't know the person they are looking for. They told me unless this person gives them a new contact number they will continue to phone my number. How do I go about getting them to stop?

Okay sorry, so you have been given a recycled telephone number from a mobile phone provider? I would speak to your mobile phone provider and get another number.
Or...
If you took the number from someone else, purchased their phone off them for example, I would get back in touch with them to sort their own mess out.0 -
I brought it off somebidy else but they have moved abroad and I have no contact for them

Two options.
If it is a contract phone, get in touch with the provider and tell them you are getting nuisance calls, they should (note - should) provide you a new number if you complain hard enough.
If it is PAYG, buy a new sim card and forget all about it.0 -
It's very simple: Send them a nice letter quoting the telephone number and explaining the situation and ask them to stop phoning you. If they don't stop it's considered unfair by the OFT and should be taken up by your local Trading Standards. The other expensive route is a solicitor and the Protection From Harassment Act 1997.0

I'm intrigued by your signature. What do you mean by "Full Barclay bank A/C". Surely you haven't filled it up
Edit: Ah I see, you mean it's a full i.e. normal account as opposed to a cash account, right?0
