Renewal Tesco credit card not arrived

I have had a Tesco Credit Card for some years, and the replacement card normally arrives about 6 weeks prior to the old one's expiry date.
We are now 3 weeks to expiry and it has not arrived, so I rang Tesco who said they ordered it a month ago, but will order another one today - it will take 4 weeks.
The same thing has happened to 2 other people within the last month.
One of these people had their renewal card stopped while they issued a replacement, and they cancelled the current one, so they could not use that one even though it was in date.
Has anyone else had this problem?
And if your Tesco Credit Card is due to expire, check you receive the replacement or ring them in plenty of time.
