Hi

Can anyone recommend a Euro current account with minimal charges/fees that can be opened from UK? Ideally with cheque book facility - no requirement forlending facilities.

If you search this board for DKB, you will find a whole of posts about this question. DBK is a german bank some use but there are other alternatives.

The most suitable solution depends very much on your needs - may be one of the foreign currency transfer services would do what you want.

Try https://www.citibank.co.uk. Add a dollar or euro account. Visa debit card switchable between Stirling, euro or dollars. Credit £1800 pm and set up 2 direct debits a month for free banking, otherwise £8 pm. You can switch funds between all accounts in real time.
