Close Pannel Fencing

Had our fence done at the weekend very pleased with the close pannel fencing. However when looking from the upstairs window could see two gaps in the final fence the final one which had to be cut to fit. The person who did it probably said that it was a knot etc which can occurr in alot of wood/timber. Have asked him to replace that pannel although i will have to pay for the pannel. The other pannels are fine, hopefully they last a long time.
(the gaps were in the middle pannels going down, so you could see through it)
Does it depend how the fence is cut for the last pannel to whether it gets a knot?
thanks,

you don't cut a close board fence or are you talking about fence panels ? two totally different things.I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
So are the 'gaps' actually knot holes? I don't see how a 'knot hole' can 'go down' a panel, they are normally circular or oval shaped, and not that big."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Did the guy that fit the panels also supply them? If so I would question having to pay for replacement panel.. Since I would expect them to source better/blemish free products!
Knot holes may be natural in wood, but I wouldnt pick out a panel that had them in to start with (bit of Quality Control); especially if cutting a panel to fit made the problem appear worse..0
