Crack inside fridge

I have just noticed that there is a large crack in the bottom of my fridge, just in front of the salad tray. It is a fridge freezer (fridge on top, freezer underneath - seperate doors)
I was just wondering if it is safe to use with the crack or will it be less efficient?
Thanks

It is advisable to glue or tape the crack to stop water getting into the insulation.0
