Cheap Web-hosting

Hi,
I'm thinking about setting up my own website, I've bought a domain name and now I just need to by the web-hosting service...
What is the cheapest web-hosting service which I could use for 5-6 pages and roughly two images per page? Also I would want a web-hosting service in which I can use HTML, rather than those basic template sites which let you build the whole site using their service.
Thanks,
Michael

As you want cheap presumably you are wanting this just for a hobby site and not anything thats income generating where reliability etc become more important than just price0

TSOHost are very good, I have two sites hosted with them. Packages start from £2.99 a month for the Standard package (or you could go for the Lite package which is £14.99 a year). Their support is excellent, emails, tickets and forum posts are always answered speedily.A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting.0

For making the website, look up Wordpress.
For hosting the website, look up Vidahost.
I've never made/hosted a website before but I used these two several months ago to make a website for my mate who's starting up as a self employed electrician and it was a piece of cake.
Wordpress has loads of pre-set templates, so I reckon you'll find one you like, but if you don't you can always customise it to your liking, which is what I did with my limited html/CSS knowledge and a lot of googling!0 -
if you just have static content, then rackspace cloud is a real budget solution. you just pay what you use, and I would be suprised if you would pay more than a few pence a month :-)0

what's your budget?0

Another vote for Vidahost. I think I pay around £29 per year which is just over £2 a month. They restored my site when I managed to mess it up so you need to consider more than how cheap it is.0

Totally free and no adverts!
Alternatively, thought about creating your own server? The Raspberry Pi is £30 and can be left on all the time with it's ridiculously low power usage. I'm very tempted...The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

I have used Tsohost for years and think they're pretty awesome! They are offering 10% off all web hosting products for a limited time only if anyone wants to check them out, use the discount code 'XMAS10'.0
