in Credit cards
I successfully aplied for an MBNA card through quidco, and have been givem a generous credit limit. The 0% is for a year so I thought well worth slapping 6k in ISA's for me and the Mrs, they were going to charge me the full 2.5% fee, but being a cheejy chap I said I would only do it if they knocked it down to 2%, he said no, so I asked him to ask his manager....guess what they did it!

Just check what they actually charge you?
It's the last day of the quarter and someone might be getting a bonus because of this - they don't care if they have to refund you next quarter!0 -
MBNA can be good - on ne card I got the 2.5% fee waived with out even pushing for it, but when I tried this again on another MBNA card, they wouldn't shift!0

i got a confusing thing... i got a new MBNA card and then did a full BT and paid my 2.5% but i been told i have to pay a minimum amount of £5 a month (which reduces the debt no interest) is this correct? i am new to CC's but i assumed i don't need to pay anything for a year0

you MUST pay the minimum monthly amount every month, it reduces how much you owe at the end.If i have helped, use the thanks button!0 -

MBNA bonuses dont work like that, nothing is commission based. It goes on attendance, productivity, error rate etc etc ..... although balance transfers and PPI have an effect, its a combined bonus and one BT would have minimalistic effect. But I would still check, some of my colleagues at the hell hole are less than scrupulous.0 -
I've just been informed that my MBNA rate has been increased to 2.2071% per month (it doesn't give the APR - bit naughty - but it must be 29.9% or above). Thankfully I never hold a balance on my card but keep it for BTs , but what a staggering rate. Anybody else as high as this?0
