Hello all
I just had this email today:
We were recently notified that a payment you received was reversed by the buyer’s bank. A bank reversal can be requested by the bank itself or the bank account holder.
Transaction ID: xxxxxxxxxxxx
Transaction Amount: £xx.xx GBP
Email:xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
We have placed a temporary hold on the funds until our inquiry is complete.
We are reviewing the bank reversal and will contact you again via email with information on what to do next. You may be asked to provide additional information about this transaction.
I have really positive feedback from the Buyer for the item and luckily I sent it recorded delivery and the item was signed for and the Royal Mail online tracking shows all this.
What is going to happen to my money? I've emailed the Buyer this evening and remained calm and polite asking what's happened etc but i'm panicking that I may lose my cash and item. I've had item not received claims before - par for the course on eBay - but never once of these transaction reversals.
Any help (and calming words) would be really appreciated from anyone in the know on here. Thanks in advance.

All you need to defend this is proof of postage. So scan and upload the orange slip you got for the recorded delivery .
It often pays to phone PayPal as well if they don't acknowledge your upload in a few daysI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. And I am breathing again - you are always super helpful Soolin.
My PayPal accounts shows the hold etc. When I checked their help pages about chargebacks is tells me to go to the resolution centre and defend myself there. Only problem is, there is not a record of the dispute/chargeback in the resolution centre... not sure how to upload anything to defend myself now!0 -
I'd call first thing tomorrow as they are often very helpful early in the morning.
I had one of these earlier this year , I harassed and bothered PayPal constantly and uploaded my POP. I also contacted my buyer who I was convinced was innocent in all this as he seemed so nice and had left great feedback. Worryingly my buyer never responded to me and when I tried to call him the number was invalid so I did start to wonder about it after that.
PayPal assured me very early on that I would get my refund after process had been completed, but it still took a few weeks before my money was released.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
