Spoof ebay emails

Hi
Just wanted to warn people that I have received an email today warning of Fraudulant use of my ebay account.
I reported this to ebay and they have got back to me to let me know that this is a spoof email used to collect peoples passwords etc in order to fraudlantly use their accounts to sell goods.
This happened to me before and I fell into the trap causing my account to be shut down for 1 week.
I have reported this one but please if you get an email do not click the link just go straight to ebay live help on the ebay.com page first to check it out.

I have sent it to spoof@ebay and had their reply but I thought I would put on a message incase anybody gets caught out like I did last time.Its better to be late in this life than early in the next one.

When i get emails like that if im not sure i enter a made up username & password. If it then thanks me and accepts them then I know its definately fake! lol.0

You don't need to check whether it is a fake or not, if it asks you to follow a link to log in it's a scam.

If you check your email in a web-based account hover over the link. If it is not https://www.ebay.com or https://www.ebay.co.uk it is a fake.
Last week, I checked in my sent items to see how many of these mails I have sent over the past month to ebay - there were over thirty!I'm so sexy it's a wonder my underpants don't explode.0
