we always try to shop local as we live in a village, they currently have 48 pouches of wiskas cat food for £10 which seems a good price, could we feed this to our kittens (14 weeks old).

Yes. It's cheaper to purchase canned or tetrapack wet food than pouches tho, check the price per kilo and consider the gravy/ jelly content.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

following your advice previously we have started to feed the kittens some wet food, we had started with 1/2 pouch between them twice a day plus dry food. We are now at 2-3 pouches a day between them with dry food just available to them all the time.
The pouches work for us at present and we always try to shop local if the price is OK as it benefits the local traders etc.0 -
Butchers Classic is a good quality wet cat food as a rock bottom price,I got 12 tins from Sainsbobs today for £5.20.0

Thats nearly half the price of pouches - would it be OK for kittens?0

wow, just worked out how much we are spending on the cats. They are becoming spoilt! Kitten food, Dry kitten food, cat milk etc.
The dry food is quite economic as we brought a large bag, the cat milk was on special offer and we are going to stop giving them milk (they are both getting less interested in it anyway). I didn't realise how expensive relatively the pouches were - too comvenient to pick up at the supermarket.
The kittens are currently costing twice the cost of our two dogs. Time for alternatives - butchers will be tried next time I go to sainsburys.0 -
I get 24 Tins of Asda cat food for £10.00, the cats like it and they are really fit and well.
I think pouches are an utter rip off. The food isnt better quality or anything, its just marketing smazz.0 -

Rather than buying supermarket brands that require more as they're lower quality, why not order a good quality canned food like Bozita from Zooplus? One can would be more than enough for two kittens on an ordinary day (not a mad growth spurt day though!).
There's no cheap fillers such as grains in them, so it fills them and you'll see a huge difference in their poo and the smell will be greatly reduced. It works out cheaper than supermarket brands and your cats will be far happier. And you'll save a small fortune on vet bills later on.0 -
Just stay away from Kit-E-Kat as since they changed the recipy,it's aweful!they've now got it "Beef Flavored" ect & it really honks in the hot weather!0
