On death all your debts will be paid out of what is in your bank account.
and if you have no dependents, so what? Any excess debt will die with youHowever if your in an accident and you lose your eyesight, whos going to support you. Life insurance should also help..
No it won't, the product needed there is critical illness and/or permanent health insurance not life insurance.0 -
For MOST serving personnel, life insurance is a must.
Depends on your circumstances.
As partner to serving armed forces member, i suppose usual mortgages/LSAP process and discount.
For deployment, being able to suspend mobile contracts and claim a rebate on council tax.
Thomas cook offer 5% on holidays which is an added bonus:beer:Change is inevitable...nothing stays the same forever

Broadband and mobile phone issues for those moving every 18 months or so (ie contracts and how to get out)
At a recent RAF Families Federation meeting, i was informed that you can use the Military Covernant to avoid these situations.
Whilst you may not be in the RAF, though serve in the other services. Your still covered under the same rules.
For more information, i would seek your local service advice centre who can aid you with the process of reaching your goal.0 -

I would contact the RAF Families Federation for more information. Its a very small team of people, so you should get the information that was given at the brief.
It was discussed that personel who were tied into long mobile phone contracts, had the contract terminated free of charge under the Military Covenant.
The person giving the brief, had mentioned that they had actually been involved with the dispute over these contacts, which the outcome was that the contract was terminated.
Whilst you may not use this to end a contract that you change your mind on, it may be used to end a contract is moving overseas/deploying on Ops etc.0 -
I get all of that, but it's not down to any formal recognition of a/the "military covenant".{Signature removed by Forum Team}0

Hi MSE Jenny,
The Naval Families Federation would be very interested in this guide, and could include it in our quarterly magazine, Homeport. The magazine has a circulation of 20,000 and is distributed to Royal Navy and Royal Marines families worldwide.
If you would like to discuss this further please e-mail me on: info@nff.org.uk
All the very best.
Kind regards,
The NFF Team0
