Hi All,
When I boot up in XP there is a screen that asks for my password Etc.
How do I get rid of this so that she boots up completely without my intervention?

Hi All,
When I boot up in XP there is a screen that asks for my password Etc.

You can get Windows XP to automatically log on a user account during the startup process provided that the following conditions apply:
1. The Welcome screen must be available
2. Guest account access must be turned off
3. There must be only one user account on the computer and that user account must not have a password
If all of these conditions are met then Windows XP will not ask you to logon, it will take you straight into your user account.
To make the Welcome screen available:
Select Start then Control Panel and then double-click User Accounts.
Select "Change the way users log on or off" and then select the "Use the Welcome screen for fast and easy logon" check box.
Select OK to apply the change.
To turn off Guest account access:
Select Start then Control Panel and then double-click User Accounts.
Select the Guest account.
Select Turn off Guest access.
To remove the password from a user account:
Select Start then Control Panel and then double-click User Accounts.
Select the user account.
Select Remove my password.
Type the current password (that is to be removed) in the "Type your current password" box, and then select "Remove Password".You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky

Or use TweakUi autologon. See method 2 at this Link (includes download link for TweakUI).

Great Guys. It worked.
Had a little difficulty and got locked out and had to use SAFE mode to get back but got there in the end.
Just like my old machine now. Whoopee.
