Hi ive recieved a letter from the bank today, regarding the bank charges i have tried to reclaim.
They were very quick on the return of the letter, they quote "please accept my appologies for the inconvenience and upset that we've caused you" i have stated the hard ship it has caused me, i have struggled to pay back and clear quite a bit of money back to the bank. now im just in credit. i wont use this account ever again, after they way they have treated me. So the letter is saying No, that they are with in their rights to charge and they believe are fair. What do i do now, write another letter or go straight to the ombudsman and give that a go. I feel the bank treated me with no compassion and it left me vunerable by paying off the debt, other things suffered, especially my health due to sleepless nights, worry and daily pressures. Advice please.x

If it's not your main bank account, then there's little hope of getting any of the charges back.

I suggest that as the account is now in credit, you do as you propose and never use the account again.
Better still, when you have time, contact the bank to formally close this superfluous account and take the small amount of credit therein and enjoy :)

So after recieving the letter to say No to bank charges re fund, ive thought about it, thought about it again i thought, what have i got to lose, so ive sent the im not happy with your desision letter and gone for it again, awaiting the reply.
I also put into writing for my ppi back from my credit card. so will await a decision on that too ! why should these fat cats keep our money. lets wait and see. :rotfl:
