I haven't had a drink since I got back until today:p:p:p I had my first bottle of blue for 3 weeks and it was instead of/for breakfast :eek: The brekky was cold and they served brown bread with it, which I cannot eat. A new gobby cow told me that was all they did, 2 other staff said it was white bread not brown :mad::mad: Anyways, we got our dosh back cos not only was it cold it was overcooked and burnt. I went there for a brekky before my hols and had white bread and the brekky was lovely so we were pretty peeved as we were looking forward to it:(:(

    Sorry to hear about breaky:(:(:(

Dad still says it now :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My kids and others laugh at me and try and get me to say lawn mower they think it really funny how I say it so must be a bit of the scottish lilt but you would never know it when I talk as been down south too too long. My sister and brother still talk in a Scottish dialect one younger one older strange. My kids laugh at when Gran would always say scullery for the kitchen DS2 talked of this a few weeks back saying he never understood what she meant:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I always thought this was very posh for 'a kitchen'

Do you ever find yourself reverting back to 'old words' without thinking and your kids look at you puzzled?
It's a shame that most of these old sayings/words are lost.

    xx
