I have just finished making "Krispy kreme" chocolate donuts. Its not set yet but it taste yummy. Will post photo later.
I got the recipe from here :
http://www.donutrecipes.co.uk/simple.html (I swapped plain flour for self raising flour + add the baking powder as instructed this is to make the dough spongier after it cooked).
Then I make the coating using :
Glaze
1/2 cup (113g) butter
3 cups (375g) icing sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons vanilla (optiona I din't have any so I didnt put it)
6 -9 tablespoons (90-135ml) milk or water or add the liquid until you get the consistancy of the glaze.
I also melted 1 bar of cooking chocs
http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/asda-compare-prices/home_baking/asda_chosen_by_you_home_baking_milk_cooking_chocolate_150g.html
& mixed it into my glaze.
Any left overs of the glaze I pour some rice krispies & mixed it & decorated it onto the small cup cake case.
No wastages whatsoever.
btw, I was reading the "krispy Kreme recipe" from below link but they look too complicated for me so I just nicked her glaze instead.

Never made doughnuts tbh, but they sound yummy

But it does taste very nice. The choc still not set properly yet:o
Thats because the ones in BP's pic are made by a machine. Yours are made by hand with tender loving care, :rotfl:and I bet taste gorgeous

Honestly, I know we're lucky to have 'free' healthcare in this country (that is unless you actually need drugs / cream / spreay etc to treat what you have, then you need to pay) but it seems you either have to make and emergency 'I need to see a doc right now' appt, or wait 3 weeks. Was reading a book about the 1950's and there was a bit saying how you used to just go to a surgery, queue up and see the doc, AND there were house visits without question.
Hiya, I can remember in the 70's having a GP where you just went to the surgery during open hours and sat and queued, you always saw the doctor, just might have to queue for an hour.
