Broken collar bone travel insurance

Hey guys,
I've been planning a holiday to USA/Canada, 17 days of spending a few nights in the big east coast cities. But a few days ago I came off my bike and broke my collar bone. I still haven't got travel insurance but I go away tomorrow, so need to arrange it today!
I guess I can't just do it online now due to having broken collar bone - do I need to phone up and tell them? Not sure what to do.
Thanks!

No, there are a fair number of travel insurance companies that you can still deal with online.
Insurers generally deal with pre-existing issues in one of three ways:
1) Refuse to sell
2) No cover provided for condition/ issue
3) Full cover provided with loading for condition/ issue
Assuming you dont want cover for complications with your break then anyone who does option 2 will still be fine.
Some who do option 3 have online screening and given the simple nature of your issue it may well go through, if not then they normally automatically trip over to telephone - in some cases you call them in others they call you.0 -
A lesson for all, do your travel insurance as soon as you have booked your holiday.
I doubt you would be able to go if you had broken both your legs and so you would have lost ALL your holiday money.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
