Monday 3rd September 2012 What Small DFW Things Will You Do Today !?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:

Morning All

Thought I’d start the thread off today to make sure I am on the straight and narrow!

Today I have/will:
• Meals from stores
• Checked bank – no change but I had to check
• Need to update my cv
• Keep an eye out for jobs I can apply for applying for a local job
• Chase up about a possible NI refund which I think is due to me
• Check quidco
• Check survey sites
• Need to buy a bus pass as it’ll work out cheaper in the long run
• Watched films and bits on the sky box
• Jumper on rather than heating on
• Meeting Sister in Law and nieces in town – will treat myself to a coffee and nothing else !
• Need to start my mass clearing up session
• Need to see about getting a better deal on our electric supply

Think that’s about it for me

Take care everyone

    Another week begins!
Had a relatively low spend weekend, managed my first NSD of the month on Sunday, and had some good weight news. Workwise things are tough - restructure and redundancy is a possibility, so am trying to get into good habits now.

    Today i have/will:
    - All meals from stores
    - freebie coffee this morning
    - LSD - got milk and posted parcel to my aunt, hopefully nothing else
    - clicks and searches (almost have enough amazon vouchers to get my dad's kindle for xmas, so working towards that now!)
    - do some work on my CV later
    - checked bank
    - need to update my spreadsheet
    - look into handmade stuff sites to see which to set up a shop on
    - paid music magpie check into the bank
    - transfer paypal money into savings

That is all for me today, have a good day everyone xxxx
