well the good ladies from how clean is your house use a lightweight mop. personally I get OH to do it - he prefers the 'stand on chair and wave duster about' method. I dont care as long as I havent got cobwebs in the corners!0

I've got a little dusting brush that fits on my hoover, if I can be bothered, otherwise just reach with the hose extension pipe thingie and suck them up, spiders, dead flies and all.
Or throw old t-shirts at them.0 -
I use one like this
The long one is extendable and even I can reach the corners with it. (Our ceilings are much higher & I'm not very tall.) It's very light, too. I got a new one last week for just over a pound, so worth looking in any cheap shops in your area.0 -

The hoover hose is definately the way to go. If you collect the webs on a brush, you then have to pick or vacuum them off said brush which is tedious and a bit icky.
Best to put the small circular duster brush on the hose as the bare end can ding or mark up your ceilings.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
