Hello,
im looking for some advice, im 26 (27 this month) and my car insurance quotes are disgusting,
iv had my full drivers license almost 10 years never been in an accident. I must of clocked up over 200,000 mile.
I also have my full unrestricted motorcycle license, own and use a 600cc bike daily for almost a year now.
Anybody got any answers why/what im doing wrong?
iv got quotes on nice cars to sub £1000 cars with no luck of a sub £1000 quote,
third party to comprehensive, a realistic 2000mile a year to a adventurous 4000/5000.
Best quotes have been around £1500 £1800 on cars costing around £500 which tbh look more dangerous than my bike (at least my bike works, with out any surprises)
Is it just like utility bills, Pay them extortionate as the are, or do without?
Thanks for any advice.

You mention you've done a lot of miles, but will do low miles in your private car. Have you had a company car / van which you've had sole use of eg you could use for it for private use as well?0

Hiya, No I only have my bike at the moment, and yes I will only be covering low miles in the car shopping plus the odd 50 mile day trip0 -
It's your lack of no claims bonus that's a problem and I guess your also in a high risk post code.
Try adding a named driver on eg partner / wife or a parent as this often gains a circa 10% discount.
Try popping into a decent local broker eg not Swintons, some have schemes where they can give an introductory no claims bonus if you have previous experience. It's a long shot but worth a try.0 -

The chart you found from google is a load of !!!!, it's Aviva's rating area for motorbikes from about 8 years ago, it's massively out of date.
Try a popping into a decent local broker, ask your parents they will use / have used one. They may not be able to get the best price but you can often pick up hints from them on ways of reducing the premium.0 -
Its your postcode and lack of NCD counting against you.
Who is your bike insured with? If they do car insurance they may be able to help but it will be phone calls needed rather than online.0 -
