Hey
Love reading the threads down here. Learn so much. But I need you guys help
Bought an item from a seller, Never received it after a week. So I sent a message to the seller asking if they posted.
They reply that Royal mail have told her theres been alot of theft from the Manchester Mail Centre (We share the same mail centre) and its down to that and she has 100% feedback and an honest seller. If I want a refund I'd have to wait for wednesday or she can post replacement tuesday, As she was busy.
I say "I'd just simply like my item that I've paid for, Can you post any earlier" Which I thought is a reasonable request
The seller replies "WELL YOUR BEING RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. GO PAYPAL AND WAIT 21 DAYS FOR YOUR MONEY BACK. I'M NOT GOING TO HELP ANYMORE" (a straight copy and paste)
I launch an INR dispute in paypal. Paypal escalate it to a claim. The seller has now provided 00000000000000 as a tracking number. Paypal is asking me to either cancel or change the claim.
Help?

Phone paypal and point out that seller has put in a fake tracking number. They should immediately find in your favour- they don't like sellers mucking them about.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks!
Will they take action against the seller?
Unless seller voluntarily refunds before paypal close the case then seller gets a strike against their 'cases' matrixI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Most definitely. I would have smelt a rat as soon as she mentioned RM. RM would not say they get their Mail stolen from their own centres to a customer.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

This does sound an awful lot like my problem seller I had recently (on a different thread) posted out a week after they confirmed despatch and also has the 'see my excellent' feedback where his stars were plummeting like a bag of coal on a rollercoaster.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. There as been a lot of theft from the manchester mail center - there have been undercover stings and postmen arrested.
If you cannot wait a few days for a refund - you should be sticking to the shops. Tesco have been taking weeks to refund many on here.
And for those saying sellers should refund after a week - thats nuts - mail can still turn up within a couple of weeks.
You say "I'd just simply like my item that I've paid for, Can you post any earlier" Which u thought is a reasonable request.
Its Sunday - theres only one day earlier before Tuesday. Its not as if they have just decided to post it - they are sending a replacement lost by Royal Mail. Why should you be unreasonable with them?0 -

The messages were friday.
I don't see it as unreasonable to ask for earlier posting. I have paid for a product.
