Anyone having bother with Halifax online today?

Struggling to transfer OUT. Instead of viewing my account & clicking the payments & transfers which i usually do, this is signing me out every time. I'm having to click the "make payments" clue tab, or whatever it's called.

I'm in the process of cycling £1k between accounts. Everything going well until i've sent TO Halifax accounts (3 of them) - money not showing in any.

  • Haven't tried using Halifax today but then I wouldn't try making transfers on a non-bank working day. Have you moved money around through Halifax on a Sunday before?

Not strictly true, anything you process on a Saturday/Sunday or Bank Holiday although may transact on the day shows as the next working day on your statement.

But you are correct, you can do banking now online 24hrs, 7 days a week

Perhaps you should tell Nationwide who say
Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays are non working days.

Halifax have been kicking me out on and off for weeks now. It's erratic but happens often. It's hit or miss whether I can actually do a transfer in one go or not.

Well when i move cash between HSBC, halifax or Santander it shows as a debit or credit straight away in the accounts.

I have had the error the OP states with Halifax. But it usually corrects itself in a few mins. Think it is a lag issue using the internet.

Well in terms of cheque clearance and some other transactions. I bet their staff still are working :rotfl:
