DAB Radio

I have a stereo which has DAB (a little Sony midi thing), the only aerial it has is a wire that plugs into the back. I don't seem to be able to get many channels, and some of them are crackling. Is there a better aerial that I can buy to get better reception on the DAB?

Change the orientation of the wire - horizontal, vertical, diagonal.
Graft extra wire onto the existing one. Try that at different orientations.
You could consider a separate aerial, but much will depend on the style of aerial socket Sony have fitted. They often have the annoying habit of using their own socketry, rather than standard, generic hardware, which means you can only use their bits with their kit.
Look up transmitter information to see if you're in a good area for DAB signal. It may be that you're just in a bad area, and no amount of fiddling will improve the situation.
Do you have any FM radios in the house? Do they work OK?0
