Nationwide Flexclusive Reg. Saver - a/c shown when spouse logs in!

It's still there:
"Your Flexclusive Regular Saver account will mirror those of your FlexAccount and will be opened using the same name, or names if your FlexAccount is a joint account."
If the OP does not have two joint or sole accounts conforming to the account conditions, the savers may have been set up in error.0 -
Have you checked to see that both the accounts showing have different account numbers?
There are two different account numbers, but both accounts are shown in both of our logins. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

So are they both joint accounts?thenudeone wrote: »There are two different account numbers, but both accounts are shown in both of our logins.0 -
I think Nationwide is one of the better financial situations around but there does seem to be a problem of some sorts with showing various accounts with on-line banking.
My mother has always run a Christmas club and decided to put the money into a Nationwide account to earn more interest.
She is quite concerned that if anything was to happen to her.........the money in that account needs to be accesible so had my name put onto the account so that I would be able to draw out the funds if need be.
She herself doesnt do online banking but when I next went on mine.......there was the account!! My husband thought we had come into some money.
Anyway she complained...........and complained even seeing the head person at branch to no avail.
She wrote to head office and again met with a blank wall.
Nationwide really need to sort this out.
In their favour....our flex account was recently hacked and someone put £40 top up on their phone which was nothing to do with us and Nationwide fraud dept dealt with it straight away and money was straight back in our account.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

It would appear so, although that is not what we intended:mad:
Natiowide's reposnse is:.. all accounts opened online will mirror the FlexAccount it was opened from and therefore both of your account have been opened jointly.
Members are only able to hold 1 Flexclusive Regular Saver each, whether it is sole or joint.
If you wish to hold sole Flexclusive Regular Saver accounts, please visit your local branch with your wife where an advisor will be close your joint accounts and open them solely. Sole Flexclusive Regular Saver accounts can only be opened in the branch. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Click on that pink & orange balloon thingy (instead of on "Quote") in each of however many posts you want to quote. Then, when you have clicked the balloons in all the posts you you want to quote, click on "Quote" in the last one, and Bob's your uncle. Happy editing :-)0 -

I'm not surprised she didn't get anywhere, because as far as I can see Nationwide didn't do anything wrong.
A joint account is a joint account - so obviously both account holders should be able to see it on their online banking.
What exactly did she expect would happen?
As far as I know there are no joint accounts where the "secondary" holder can not see the account or have any access until the "primary" holder is incapacitated.
So it would appear to be that your mother was complaining based on her incorrect understanding of what she was doing.
What she wanted instead was an account in her sole name (as she already had) and then arrange through a solicitor for you to have "property and financial affairs Lasting Power of Attorney" so that you have access to her account should "something happen to her".0 -
How did your husband get to know about it? Did you give him access to your online banking?Kantankrus_Mare wrote: »My husband thought we had come into some money.Kantankrus_Mare wrote: »Anyway she complained
What exactly did she complain about?
If it was that your husband knows about it, she'd have to complain to you, not to Nationwide.0
