Disable following an accident at work - job worries

I had an accident at work and have been off for the past 13 months. I am due to return very soon but my injuries mean I cannot return to my old position. Where do I stand in terms of my employers, do they have an obligation to find me a new post, am I covered under DDA or can they force me into redundancy or even dismissal?

I am scheduled to go to Occupational Health soon but I have no idea when I will be fully recovered; it could be 2 months, 6 months or longer.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

The DDA does not mean you cannot be dismissed.
The employer has to make 'reasonable adjustments' - but what is reasonable may vary per role.
For example, it's hard to see what reasonable adjustments could be made for a maths teacher that could no longer comprehend numbers after a stroke.
