ps3 and hdmi question

Hi all I got ps3 and I got this cable from play to connect it to my hdtv but when I go to the chanel all I get is a black screen but I can hear the music of the game any idears ??

Make sure it's plugged in properly try a different hdmi socket if theres is one. try a different channel.0

Hi thanks I think it may be the lead I have as it cant decide if to use hdmi or dvi chanel and flikcers between the 2 then after a while it goes to one work but soon as i make a selection it flicker between the two again.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I dont think it is the lead i got a new lead and still have same problem i got a 1m hdmi lead the tv i have is a technosonic and it just seem like it dont know if to use the hdmi or the dvi chanelHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
