Its worth checking other stores locally if you have them, they have different stuff in the sale.
Some have the duchy seeds usually, and others put the multi packs in, I've got a £7.99 pack of bean seeds before0 -
Damn you A. Badger, just spent £9 on seed bargains at Wyvale

Mostly tomatoes of new [to me] varieties, including some in the Unwin's" Gro -Sure" range that initially retailed at £4.99 a packet which a tight @rse like me would never payWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0 -
Can't order them online

I only buy cheap/free seeds
You're not the only one Farway.
Poundland seeds are surprisingly good, I've had a good success rate from them and my raspberry plant is now 2 years old and still thriving

I spent even more than that!
All the same, I think I did well. Last year I bought green manure seeds as an experiment for one of my raised beds. The seed was expensive and I wasn't very impressed with the results
Having been able to buy French bean seeds at 50p a packet (usually they're getting on for £3) I can now experiment with varieties I'd be unlikely to try at full price and use any leftovers as a green manure/catch crop towards the end of next summer.
Like you, it's also encouraged me to try some of Unwins more expensive varieties, which previously I haven't bothered with.
I'm still trying to work out whether it was in the MSE spirit, though!0 -

Just been to Wyevale and bought 14 packs of seeds at 50p a packet, for every two packs bought I got one packet of tomato seeds free, I don't actually know what I am going to do with seven packets of tomato seeds maybe the allotment folks might like some, or maybe they might find free seeds bellow their usual standards?0
