re named driver car insurance

Hi

Son offered to put me down as a named driver on car he owns, insures and taxes for me to use occasionally.

However I am undischarged bankrupt will this affect his premium is this allowed. No decisions made as yet.
Any advice appreciated.

It doesn't go on your financial record it goes on your driving.

Named drivers are not the policyholder so it shouldn't matter, because the named driver can't directly make any money if there was to be a false claim; however, your son should be careful to answer any questions honestly, and check the small print thoroughly. It's just possible that it could be an issue.

Most wont ask but some do and as long as he tells them honestly there wont be a problem.

But i guess you have been on the bankruptcy boards here? You will know that there is nothing lower than a person thats been bankrupt.

Mass murderers and fraudsters get off more lightly.

I was almost at that stage myself a few years back.

Off work due to illness and got fed up of the harassment from the CC companies. Told them where to go and even got the paperwork.

But i struck lucky, Health improved and a good job
