Claming on car insurance.

Options
I'm just asking this on behalf of a friend.
If your car has a break in and your personal belongings are stolen (phone) And you claim on your insurance, would this affect your No Claims Bonus?

Thank you.

Yes, it would, unless he had it protected.

it would also affect the future premiums and they would also have to pay the excess.

He'll just have to work out which is the cheapest.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Your friend might also find that the cover for theft of personal possesions is very limited, around £100 is the norm.
  • For most of us a car mishap has to run into many hundreds of pounds before a claim of any sort should be considered, i have a pencilled in figure of a grand.
