Barclays website - transaction doubled up!

The new look Barclays website must be the most confusing online banking site around - but even worse than that I think it is possible to inadvertently set up the same payment for the same day TWICE.
I can find no other explanation for why such a transaction was presented twice to my bank account, resulting in an automatic charge for an unpaid item.
As the website appears to have no facility for looking at past online transactions, other than as items on one's statement after the event, I cannot establish how or what happened.
Having spent a while on the phone to what seemed to be an overseas call centre, I believe that the charge has been cancelled but I am concerned that the website might be buggy, or at the very least, seriously flawed in terms of usability.
Has anyone else had similar problems?
PS - the call centre person actually had the audacity to try to sell me insurance after all that!!!!
