Planning a wedding in a year -

  • We got enaged in July 2011 and married 10 weeks later. As long as you have the offical stuff booked, the rest can be as simple and therefore stressfree as you choose. It was for us and was still the most precious happiest day of our lives.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    Hi Yorkshirebride,

I could have written your post! I am getting married in August next year as well, and have booked the venue and church only so far. I was feeling totally calm until I saw all of H2B's family this weekend and they were all asking whether we'd chosen or booked x y z, now I'm thinking I should get myself in gear! I'm thinking entertainment and photographer should be next as others said.

What date are you getting married?

Hi everyone, and thanks for all your replies!

Shrimpy_80 - really glad I'm not the only one who feels this way! People keep saying similar things to me too, especially about 'only' having a year to find a dress. We are looking at photographers first, as they can only do one wedding a day whereas florists (for example) can do more than one.

Would be interesting if anyone who felt that we are being too laid-back posted too. All opinions would be very welcome and appreciated!
