hi Joe
thanks but that wasnt my question?
it was
can anyone remind me please
what is a bulk entry?
as they are not allowed!
I take bulk entry to mean such as the comp entering companies. These require a monthly fee & in return they enter the comps for you.
Therefore one company may enter thousands of times for the same comp.
This is why we are seeing more log ins on sites & the capchas getting harder to fill in.

Sorry if I didn,t understand the question but I also thought you wanted an answer to this part of your post

Itv are now checking ip entries hence why they have now put limits on entrys.
Its because some people have been using 10+ phone numbers, but now if an ip addy shows up more than 3 phone numbers then ALL the entries by the person are discarded.
This rule is now being adopted by alot of sites, but you wont get told if you have gone over you'll just never win.
I now follow the winners on here, 1 phone number for me and 1 for my partner.
And these PAY A FEE sites that enter you in comps ARE now useless as all the big comps enforce these rules, dont get conned by joining, there are quite a few, including 2 ran by members of here so do be careful as you might htink they are helping but they esssentially get you banned from most comps (if you pay a fee they will enter you into loads, but you will prolly enter them on MSE anyway - hence you will be disqualified)
There are ways to spot entries by the companies sometimes so if you spot any just report them to the site running the comp - i got a lovely message from 1 a couple of month ago 'thank you we didnt realise what was happening' ..
Comping is free so dont get ripped off by paying a fee, and stick to the rules, otherwise you might aswell not bother entering any..Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:0 -
Hi vanpopple, that's interesting about ITV - how did you find that out if you don't mind me asking?
I always took it if ITV say per phone number, there wasn't anything they could do if you enter with all the phones that you own. (Not that I enter more than 3 times myself)0 -
Entries submitted online are free, to a maximum of 6 entries per phone number provided, with a maximum of 3 phone numbers permitted per person.
Sorry as I was bit confusing what do that mean:o
If x person have the z phone numbers = Max is 3
If x person and y person share same phone number = 3 each (Max is 6)
Is what the rule mean??? Or I mis-reading that:o

I wouldn't have thought they would be allowed to disqualify all your entries unless they specify they are going to do this in the terms. They should say entries are limited to three phone numbers per household not three numbers per person if this is the case.
If ITV are that bothered about multiple entries they should just state one entry per household in the T&C. I've never understood why they allow people to enter six times per number.0 -
:beer:Thanks for taking the time to post all the information vanpopple, definitely didn't know about these companies, and the point you made about ITV comps was interesting, thanks again0
