Concerned my neighbour is running a "puppy mill"

I had some new neighbours move in about nine months ago. When they came- they had no dogs.

About four months ago- I sign went up outside their house "Labrador puppies for sale- call in for more details". I also saw an advertisement in our local newsagents and the local village hall when I was there for a Slimming World meeting. I had never seen them with a dog, heard a dog barking from their house and their garden is by no means dog proof. I didn't think anything more of it.

Anyway...another sign has gone up this morning. Again, labrador puppies for sale- call in for more details. I imagine there are advertisements up as well- I will check when I go down to the shops in a little while.

Again...definitely no signs of dogs around in the last few months.

What do others think? I didn't think a dog could breed that closely together? (I have only had males)
Society always tramples down on those that are different. Abnormalities are smoothed over. I strive to be a wrinkle.

You haven't seen a single dog so no evidence of any cruelty going on, sorry but it isn't really any of your business.

They could be acting as middle men for puppy farmers, they could be relatives of puppy farmers or it could be something very innocent but without more information then there's nothing that can be done.

Have you possibly considerred talking to them and asking them?

Could well just be advertising for a friend.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

After reading about the poor puppy on this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4116721
I'd try and find out somehow.

Have the ads in the newsagent got a phone number so you could ring or could you get a friend the neighbour wouldn't recognise to go as a 'potential buyer'?

It's been said on this thread that it's none of your business.
I disagree - if they are farmed puppies you need to make it your business. And if there is an innocent reason, no harm done.
