white meter right or wrong method ?

my daughter has just moved to a new house that is fitted with a white meter, payments to british gas.(for both g and e)
the house has gas gas central heating so I donot think white meter is her best option as is this not ment for electric storage heaters that charge during the night(at cheap rate)
I see cheap time is 10:30pm to 8:00 am but i think a std meter would be a better, cheaper option for this case. Day rate would be more expensive than std day rate. on a normal meter i think.
what do you think?
Also any idea cost , if any to change meters to std one.
Thanks

Cheap rate is normally for only 7 hours, however I didn't get charged anything to change my meter over to a single rates one, just rang up my supplier and they arranged it.
If she does a lot of washing, uses an immersion heater dishwasher etc it might be worth staying with the economy 7? tariff and running them overnight.
First thing is to find out what tarriff she is on, as your cheap rate period is rather odd. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
There is no need for the meter to be changed, your daughter just needs to call up and ask to be switched to their single rate tarrif. They then bill day and night units at the standard rate.0
