housing benefit affected by signing off JSA?

Hello, I will have to sign off JSA for a week while on holiday (booked and paid for before I was made redundant before you ask) and then do a rapid reclaim to sign back on when I return. Will this affect my housing benefit aswell as I still have to pay the rent even if I am away?
I haven't had any payments yet despite claiming a month ago, if I sign off to go on holiday will they still pay me for the past month or will they just not bother paying me for the past 4 weeks worth of JSA and treat me as a new claim from when I do the rapid reclaim?

Your HB will be suspended, as they have had a report that you're not getting JSA.
You need to then inform them that you have no income.0 -
and you will be entitled to receive the JSA not yet paid for the weeks before your holiday.0

OP needs to be proactive by telling the LA that his income has dropped to nil on the day it does or as soon afterwards as possible, then do likewise when in receipt of JSA again. A simple phone call might not be enough, he may need to post evidence along with three, perhaps six, months of bank statements, or visit one of their offices in person to inform them of a change of circumstances along with the evidence so as to be paid HB for that week.0
