Zurich insurance letter

My wages were late going into the bank to to a massive co@k up by my employer anyway cut it short my premimum wasnt paid due to lack of funding as it went out on the last day of the month this i only found out by a letter from this morning saying theyve informed the mortgage company that ive broke the agreement etc and are councilling it within 7 days. unless i contact them with immediate effect , which i cant do till monday. It was never my intention not to pay it and ive never had a problem before.
Would i be able to pay them by card over the phone thats if they can be be bothered to answer it.
Plus looking at other companies looks like they are ripping me off anyway
