I use a mac so don't do macros so I can't be of any help tweaking it for just 7 codes

Thanks for the link. I just had a look and it looks as though it is built for 10 code words, not 7, but it shouldn't be too difficult to edit.

If anyone knows how you do the code cracking for the final code? Would be interested in having a go at it but would need instructions how to do it, thanks to anyone that could offer any help.

I'd like to help with code cracking too, if anyone knows how to get the spreadsheet working and can give me a dummy's guide on how to do it

i am a mac user so can't use the spreadsheet as you need internet explorer ...

BUt to work the spreadsheet someone needs to amend the number of code words .....

so we can't attempt this until we get a kind knowledgable techy person who can....

so if we don't have the spreadsheet it is back to scrabble word finders...

I am working on it. But it calls "ie.document.body.all.Item(7).innertext". Without seeing the webpage I can't tell if Item(7) will still exist (it may be different due to the less code words).
