Moving euros from Ireland to UK

I usually live in the UK and have bank accounts with Barclays and HSBC. However, this year I'm working in Ireland earning euros which are getting paid into the Irish bank AIB. At the end of the year (July 2013) I'll be moving back to the UK and was wondering if anyone knows of the cheapest way to transfer my euros into pounds and into Barclays? We're probably not talking huge sums here (sadly less than £10,000 I expect).
Many thanks in advance,
Alex
