What to do with an enormous Cox?

I planted a little espalier Coxes Orange Pippin against a brick wall three years ago, it produced 5 fruits first year, 11 second year and 36 this year. The apples are huge, and I mean huge! They look more like Bramleys, which I have no problem with, but I'd like to know if I can leave them on the tree until I need them, or do I pick and store - and if so how to store, please?

Also as it's on a small wall (6 feet high, 12 feet long) and has taken most of the space I presume the old branches should be pruned, but by how much? Sorry for 3 q's in 1, I'm no great shakes as a gardener so need to get all the info I can. Tia

Storing, you can leave on the tree, but birds may take a liking as the wild food gets scarcer. If you have space the traditional method is store outside on a slatted frame but protected by sacking

But as you only have 36 hardly worth the effort, leave on the tree and pick as required

Pruning, try the RHS web site, select apples and have a read

    Another useful link here.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

You and the rest of us. I wonder if the title was deliberately, err, misinterpretable?

cyclonebri1 refer your own sig ;)

Leif, cyclonebri1 said s/he misread it, not misinterpreted it. The title was meant to be eye-catching to get a quick response as I was planning to prune at the weekend, if necessary. Not sure how you interpreted it but clearly the first two replies didn't find it misleading :p

Whoa, who kicked your cat?! My replies were mildly sarcastic humour, which you seemed not to recognise.

You no doubt didn't see the reply which was deleted after I replied to it. I, in turn, deleted my response or the thread would have made no sense.

*It's spelled 'entendre'. Hope this helps :)

    You did, :p, remember

No I didn't so why refer to it?

You are the reason for my signature, even after I accepted I didn't know the absolute correct spelling.
