Bidder retracted bid

Hi
I have a listing ending tomorrow evening with 1 bid so far.
Last night someone put a bid on and then retracted it stating 'bid the wrong amount'. This person hasn't bid again and I am wondering whether they put this ridiculous amount in to see what the other bid was.
Perhaps I am being cynical (they only have a feedback score of 1), or should I now block them as a bidder?

if you have a reserve price on the item they may be attempting to find the reserve
block them..probably someone with more than one user-idEx forum ambassador

I would block them, and also report them for an invalid bid retraction.
If you look on their 'feedback as a buyer' page it will show the number of times they have retracted bids. Any more than two or three is bad news imo.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
is anybody else selling the same item that may be cheaper?0
