Hiya
SaveOnline 12 has a cancellation fee if you change supplier before the 12 month contract is up but not if you change to another E.ON plan.
Hope that helps

If I were to choose between SaveOnline 12 and EnergyDiscount 2013, I would choose ED 2013. The Tesco Club Card points cancel out the £9 price difference, and the exit penalty is only £5 PER FUEL.
I'm waiting to see SaveOnline 13, which should be out soon, since 12 has been around for ages.0 -

..............unlucky for some perhaps?:)
You were proved right last year when you stuck with EON ... cost me ~ £120 pa more moving to EDF fix vs SOL v X ...still can't believe that EON kept the SOL discount thru to the end.....the mild winter must have helped....suppose that's why they aren't offering any good deals at the moment tho' :rotfl:0 -
Just started switching process from EON to EDF Blue April 2014.
EON Saveonline 9 ended 30 August, default is now EON Energy Online. Even though we have their 'Smart' meter, I sent meter readings on 1 September, for my own peace of mind
. On previous bill to 7 August, we were in credit by £41.56, revised bill 1 September shows credit £137.46. Not sure why, but they estimated usage to 31 August
.
This bill also shows our estimated spend in the next 12 months Electricity £564 and Gas £983. This totals £1547 or £129 per month. Given that we are already £137 in credit, why on earth did they also say they were going to increase our monthly DD from £143 to £164, which is £1968 - or £421 more than their own estimate :eek:0 -
@badger09 - its the infamous EON Spring review - they (or more correctly their computer:rotfl:) would be expecting your account to have a zero balance by circa April/May - as you would only have 8 months til then and the Winter to come ,they have jacked up your DD - Good job you are leaving them!!!0

I was on Eon Save Online 9
Do you think it is worth hanging on to see what Eon come up with. or that the EDF Blue deal will be hard to beat?
My old plan /Saveonline9 runs out 13th Sep, and nothing gives cheaper than this at the moment, but the new EnergyOnline plan details that have been sent are more expensive than EDF.
Don't know what to do.0 -

Spring review  this was done on 1st September when we were already £137 in credit
Anyway, I phoned and politely explained why I thought their computer needed some basic lessons in arithmetic :rotfl: They offered not to increase the current DD from £143 to £164 as the computer had suggested, but to reduce it to £132 :T
Still off to EDF Blue April 2014 though

Yes, that's what I'm doing. I'm on SaveOnline 9 which ends next week and I'm set to automatically switch to Energy Online but I'll wait to see if E.ON have any new offers before deciding whether to switch elsewhere as I'm very happy with their customer service.0 -

My SaveOnline 9 ends on 8th September, two days to go
The way Scottish Power superceded their November 2013 with January 2014 Fix makes me think they will bring out a March 2014 Fix.
So, the current plan is to see what SaveOnline 13 brings,
then switch to Scottish Power Online Fixed Price Energy January 2014, then jump to the March or April fix when it happens.
Provided the switch completes by October, being on standard tariff is no big deal while it's warm.0 -

There is no way my central heating is coming on until at least the end of October!
According to the price comparison sites, EON is still the cheapest for me so I'm happy to wait a while to see what offers turn up over the next couple of months.0
