got a cav from a person we know ,he is about 7 years old ,
lovely little face but sad looking and he is unwanted by the person
he has been very neglected like most unwanted dog's ,
ear infection ,poor coat, under weight, flea's unlike my two cav's,
do not worry he will be of to the vets to get looked at,and get his jabs up to date next week.yes and get his ears sorted to.
he's already been bathed with flea shampoo, front lined and wormed ,i think thats more than he has ever had in his poor little life ,
i did not want another dog,got enough with my two, they where both unwanted dog too,i must be a sucker for them ,
its his first night ,near 2am and hes still barking ,next door not going to be happy,i hope he settles down soon and go's to sleep with my two and why did i paint the kitchen door last week, they will not be any paint left by morning at this rate ,at least its only paint
why do people get them when they do not want them,
i hope i can make his little life happier than it was,
he will be treated just like my two ,me master/pack leader
i would have got him sooner but wife was not sure we could cope with one more,he in a right state bless him,

Well done for taking him on. I'm sure he'll soon settle and be happier with you than he's ever been.
I've got two dogs (one a cav) and I know what you mean about not wanting to add to them, my husbands terrified that I'll want another!

Aww I know very little about doggies but I just wanted to say well done you!
Hopefully he will respond quickly to the love and care he is now being shown and will settle down quickly enough. Sometimes loving care and affection can be downright scary if you have not experienced them before. Once he knows how much better things are with you I am sure he will settle down quickly.
PS) Hope you got some sleep in the end!0 -
still barking at night time, just trying him with a radio on low to see if that help carm him down,(bbc radio 5)
i know he's looking for attention like any neglected dog would do,another sleep less night coming by the looks, god he's in a bad way.
my two have already gang up on him poor little thing ,but they are pack animals after all ,they should get on in time with a little help,
like making a fuss of them all together not separatelythere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0 -
Aww my little Cav passed away on January 9 this year.

Hi Sparklebabey, the west norfolk rspca rehoming centre has a adult cavalier he came in last week, apparently he was abandoned, im always looking at the site when I should not be, I dont know if this is of any help but he looks sooo cute as they always do, btw I have a 11 yr old one0

Hi Have got the link www.westnorfolkrspca.org.uk/ and just look on the dogs for rehoming0

Oh my lordy!!!
What a fine young man he is!!
Unfortunately it says that he has to be rehomed in Norfolk or the surrounding counties.....and I am nowhere near Norfolk.
How could anyone dump a Cav?! Can you imagine his wee eyes as they drove/walked away?? I know what I would like to do with them....if you can't cope then fine - take it to a rescue place somewhere, don't just bloody dump the poor animals:mad::mad:
Yours is 11 - wow! That is impressive. My boy was only 9 when he died (would have been 10 in the Feb) and it was his heart that gave way (like so many Cav's).
We only had him for just over 3 years but they were the best 3 years of my life. He is very very sadly missed.0 -
Oh thats a shame I didnt see the homing area bit
yes they are heartless, I could imagine his little face as well.Hope you find one soon let us know as soon as you do
all the best
