Hi, Welshy. This offer is in todays Sun and is a coupon for a free egg ( up to the price of 39p) and is only valid for today and tomorrow. Only valid for Co-op and dosn't have any bar code. When I was a girl I think they were even cheaper than 10p, guess that makes me older than you.

Hi everbody I know I am showing my age but I could not remember Creme Eggs as a little girl so I "googled" it and there were invented in 1985 !!!

Not giving my age but I was married and had 3 little girls of my own then.

Thank you for all your posts I look forward to seeing you all on my screen every day.
  • :o Not wanting to be hated by the 'wiser' ladies on here, but Creme Eggs were invented before I was born! SORRY! :o
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!
  • Which paper is the free powerade with?

I want to know about the free creme egg any more details ???? when I was a girl they were 10p each and much bigger

    Welshy x

I don't think the eggs were any bigger, it's just that your hands and mouth were so much smaller, being a little girl!! :D

I'm glad someone confirmed that they were made before 1985 cos I can remember eating them and getting them for Easter when I still lived at home cos they were lined up along the back of my Dad's piano. Mine on the left and my brother's on the right so that we wouldn't fight over whos were whos!!!
I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

There is a free wine guide with either the independent or the Guardian- and whichever hasn't got that is completin some kind of sticker collection. My brain couldn't retain the info intact I'm afraid.

I can recall visiting friends in 1971 - the year I got married!!
Yes can you believe I am really that ancient. I was passionate about creme eggs and they served them to me in egg box as joke!!

I could eat at least three without feeling sick - and yes they were larger
