Thomson Television - no sound

Can anyone help?

My Thomson TV has completely lost its sound! The sound is not working on the set itself or by using the remote control. or the set itself.

Any suggestions please.

    sounds obvious but have you pressed mute or put the headphones mode on?

    A common fault. Shove a plug in the headphone socket a few times. Squirt it with WD-40.

    The Model No. is 14MS15UT Type 393RTX807 and it is quite a few years old - can't remember how many!

    (The sound control is stuck and will not move)

    Have tried all the obvious things but still no good!

    Have you tried using headphones, and if so - do you get any sound? If not it might be something wrong with the tuner??

    No sound using headphones either - guess I'll have to buy another tele!
