If you towards the top right of this forum. You will see a 'search this forum' link. Put in it 'land of leather', you should see some recommendations in amongst the threads. You can then goto google.co.uk and search for 'land of leather review' and you find stories like this: http://www.grumbletext.co.uk/vt.php?t=503 amongst others.

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.

LOL are very good on prices, but their customer service is terrible. but that goes for most of em anyways.
take no notice of their delivery dates either, they just make em up.
they normally have some special deals on bank holidays too.

i bought a sofa from them and within a month the seats were sagging and it took four months of hell to get our money back, there is no head office number to phone if you have no sucess with the local store. we contacted trading standards numberous of times about them. i would not buy them them again. i phoned up to find out my order was lied to by the sales persons.

  • Hi
My wife and i bought a 3 & 2 sofa from these so called specialists at their leeds store on 20th june 2006 and was told we would have to wait 8 weeks. 14 weeks later we were allowed to collect it. infact i was told it was at tamworth then newcastle when infact it was at the leeds warehouse near our home since the day we bought it. when the forklift driver rammed it in the van which my pregnant wife was sat in he caught the van and shunted it forward 20 yards before realising it was stuck. when we got it home it was obviously damaged and we had to have it repaired. then it became faulty 5 months on. after 2 months of the store saying "the manager isnt in yet" we finally got an exchange which has now gone faulty 4 months on (same fault). we have asked for our money back and have been told by the store manager " i am waiting for the area manager to authorise it". i asked can you phone him to speed it up "no" was the only reply. then i was told there may be a fair ware and tear fee as we have had it for 4 months? i explained that it was faulty and why should i pay when its not fit for purpose.
do they make this stuff up as they go along?
