New job want a credit check. Advice please.

I contacted the company today and they said I passed the 'mini' credit check but they are still waiting for a full one to come back. Not really sure what the difference is...

It must all seem ok because she said she'd get my contract out to me today.

Still a bit confused on what's going to happen though...

If you work in financial services these sorts of things are just part of working life.

There is little you can really do about it all, though it doesnt make it frustrating etc waiting for the responses, and so just sit on your hands and wait.

Some of these companies that do the checks are useless anyway. The last place that did a criminal records check got tied in knots over their questions and then took months to send the report and in the end sent it to me rather than my client/ "employer" despite it saying it must never be given to me etc in the covering letter

Thankfully with them I didnt have to wait for the checks to be completed before starting.
