Train to Prague?

I've found the London special you talked of on the site, so i've saved it and will set a reminder for a few month to check again!
I will try and do the stop off thing, i hope it works ok but if not we will just have another day in prague or something hehe
So are the sleep over trains pretty good?
It may be worth having a quick practise with one of the London Spezial fares before the one you want becomes available so you get used to the stop over thing. It's not really that difficult at all to find out, but some people think these fares tend to disappear really quickly (not my experience but I've only tried it once).
No idea about sleeper trains - I've never been on one.0 -

Praha hl.n. (Autobusov! St. Wilsonova) - 18:18
duration -7:59
1 ICE, Bus (i don't know how to change it from getting the bus to another train but i dont know how to do this?)
Praha hl.n. (Autobusov! St. Wilsonova)
Mo, 05.11.2012 11:38
Köln Hbf
Arrive back in cologne - 19:05
Duration - 7:27 2 Bus, ICE
Köln Hbf - Mo, 05.11.2012 19:43
London St. Pancras International - 07:57
Duration - 12:14 1 ICE, EST
Your ticket Return Ticket, 2 travellers (age: 25,28 years), 2nd class, London S Pancras Int - Köln
London-Spezial =
276,00 EUR
Cologne to prague return is =
316,00 EUR
This is for 2 passengers, Does anyone know if i can get the cologne to prague train cheaper than this return?
I know the dates are not the same but i imagine the prices would be pretty similar?
I hope it all makes sense and the train times are correct!

Can you use London Spezial tickets for journeys to and from Brussels, not using the ICE portion of the tickets? These fares are cheaper than Eurostar fares aren't they?0

You should be able to get it slightly cheaper than that (49€ each way per person for the to/from London bit) but you might as well wait until your actual dates before you play around with it.
Bare in mind the return you picked has an overnight on the way (presumably in Brussels?). If you've never been there before it may be good to add another stopover there so you could spend the next day in Brussels as well, instead of getting there at night then leaving first thing in the morning. Can you use London Spezial tickets for journeys to and from Brussels, not using the ICE portion of the tickets? They can be cheaper but they aren't always (they were in my case). It should work ok - I called Deutsche Bahn and they said you can miss parts of the ticket and the rest remain valid, but you may want to double check yourself.
The Eurostar will be in a different area of the station in Brussels to the ICE trains, so you should be able to do it with ease (i.e. when you leave the Eurostar platform they will have no idea that you are going to just leave the station instead of catching the ICE, and the same in reverse).0
